- You might feel a scratching or stinging sensation on your skin during treatment, but it will not be painful.
- Light erythema (redness in the skin) and a slight burning sensation after treatment
- Skin should feel smooth and supple.

Dermaplaning can be carried out every 3-4 weeks.
Treatments will last any time between 20 – 30 minutes, depending on the severity of the condition, number of areas and size of the treatment area.
All skin types can be treated. It is extremely safe when performed by a professionally trained skin therapist using sterile surgical instrument once the skin has been properly prepped.
- Stop products 3 days before the Dermaplaning that contain active ingredients such as retinoids (Vit A), all exfoliating creams/serums, and avoid all physical scrubs.
- Avoid sun exposure as well as sun beds.
- Avoid sunless tanning creams or sprays on the treatment areas.
- Avoid waxing on the treatment areas.
- Do not expose the skin to the sun for the next 48 hours after treatment.
- Do not exfoliate your skin or use serums/creams with exfoliating properties 3 days after treatment.
- You can start to use your products with active ingredients such as retinol (Vit A) 7 days after Dermaplaning.
- Apply full-spectrum sunscreen daily.
- Make-up can be applied immediately after treatment, but it would be advisable to wait a few hours.
- If a crust is formed, do not scratch as it can cause an infection.
- No sun beds, streamer, sauna or swimming in the sea immediately after treatment

You will see results immediately after treatment. Skin will have a glow to it.
How long will the results last?
The results from Dermaplaning are temporary and last about 3-4 weeks because our skin cells regenerate every 28 days and “pushes” the dead layer of cells to the surface fine hairs is constantly growing. It is important to note that it is not a permanent solution and so therefore regular treatment is required.
Will hair grow back thicker and coarser?
It’s common to feel a little stubble as your hair starts growing back in after Dermaplaning. This doesn’t mean that your hair is thicker or coarser. It has to do with the way your hair was cut straight across. The hair feels different to you, but it’s the exact same texture and color as it was before the Dermaplaning.
