Our Adagyo machine provides lymphatic drainage therapy, also known as Pressotherapy.

Pressotherapy is a leading treatment that not only detoxifies the body but improves many systems of the body including circulatory, muscular and digestive system.

This scientifically approved mechanical massage, uses a pressure therapy pants suit, covering the legs, abdominal areas and glutes. The mechanical application of increasing waves of pressure to the body, mimics a peristaltic movement, providing much needed oxygen to the body, eliminating toxins in the process.

How many treatments are required?

Treatments will vary by your needs as well as the severity of the concern and your response to the treatments, but the average recommendation is approximately 12 treatments.

Treatments will last between 20 – 40 minutes, depending on the severity of the condition and the client’s response to the treatment.

The average recommendation in accordance to the treatment protocol is approximately 2 – 3 x per week, but daily treatments can be done.

Treatments are safe and effective for all clients, excluding pregnancy, cancers, liver and kidney ailments etc.

A complimentary consultation session of approximately 30 minutes, is required upfront where a comprehensive assessment will be done to determine whether you can proceed with treatments. During this session, expectations and possible contraindications will be discussed, and a plan formulated in accordance to your needs.

  • Be well hydrated – drink at least 6 – 8 glasses of water per day
  • Bring leggings or something comfortable to wear in the suit
  • NB: Increase water intake to assist with detoxification
  • Avoid eating heavy meals or consuming alcohol for approximately 2 hours after treatment
  • Reframe from strenuous or physical activities for approximately 2 hours after treatment

The following additional home care routines are advisable for effective and long-lasting results:

  • Keep leg muscles active with regular physical exercise and sports activity
  • Avoid immobility for long periods
  • Regular gentle massage in cases of Oedema
  • Avoid heat
  • Avoid tight-fitting clothes
  • Treat hormone imbalances
  • Taking appropriate supplements and nutrients
  • Maintaining a general healthy lifestyle which includes:
    • A healthy and balanced diet
    • Daily hydration (minimum of 6 – 8 glasses of water)
    • Regular exercising
    • Avoid smoking
    • A balanced and healthy mind

When will I see results?
Clients are all different and respond differently to the treatments, however it is possible to see and feel the result within the 1st treatment, dependant on the nature of the concern.

How long will the results last?
Our bodies have the ability to return to their “normal” state, therefore for optimal and long- lasting results, a maintenance program of 1 – 2 x per month is recommended. With time, these maintenance sessions can be reduced to 1 x maintenance every 3 months or as and when necessary.

Due to our lifestyles, this treatment can become part of regular detoxification.
